The Origin Story of Lindsay Plank Events and EvyRose Design
It was a summer day in July of 2021 when I first met the two designers behind the wedding floral design studio, EvyRose. Liana and Emily were on the roster at an editorial session at Gracewood Estates at Kurtz Orchard.
I was the creative director behind a dusty blue Niagara vineyard, and EvyRose Design came on as the floral designer.
The wedding florists’ work was absolutely gorgeous! It fit with the beautiful, garden-inspired theme so well.
But the most exciting part of meeting Liana and Emily was how well we worked together during the editorial session. We quickly noticed that how we run our businesses, our visions for our clients, and who our ideal clients are all aligned.
It was a match made in heaven, right from the beginning!
Since then, we’ve travelled to Prince Edward County, and we’ve worked on multiple events together. We’ve also built a great, strong working relationship and friendship that continues to grow!

The Planning and Design Process
When Lindsay Plank Events and EvyRose Design work together for full wedding planning and design clients, we start the process from the very beginning.
As the lead planner and designer, I’ll curate the overall design and aesthetic for the wedding day. I’ll present that to everyone in a design meeting. Then, EvyRose Design and LPE find a way to make sure everything is collaborative and cohesive throughout the remainder of the process.
We always keep in touch to make sure both teams (mine and theirs) are making the right decisions as it pertains to your wedding vision. We choose the right kinds of flowers and the correct colour tones based on the colour palette.
Throughout the entire planning and design process, you can expect both Lindsay Plank Events and EvyRose Design to work hand in hand!
My Advice, as a Wedding Planner, When It Comes to Investing In Your Design Team
Whenever you work with your planner and designer to come up with a design team, it’s best if you can give your vendors your full trust. To reduce the amount of stress from planning, trust that your vendors know and understand your vision. We know what you’re looking for. And we have the experience to make sure it happens for you!
When you can do that, you’ll also find that being more present and spending more time together on the wedding day becomes much simpler!
